Defining Principlities:

F8H.IN advertises for prayer; remindes about it. So many claim they believe, but so few pray, the prayer Our Good Lord taught us!

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us...

Angels

Angels

God had also created pure spirits, which are the angels.

On the Creation. God made the World of nothing, by hid word and will, and fur his glory. He made it in six days, and rested on the seventh. In order to make man, he formed his body of earth, and then added to it a soul made to hin own image. Man is the image of God, because he is capable of knowing God, and of loving him, and it is for this, that God made him.

The first man was named Adam. God gave him for his companion a woman, ffhom he formed of one of his ribs, that he might love ner as a part of himself. In this manner he instituted marriage. The first woman was named Eve. God settled Adam and Ere in the terrestrial Paradise, which was a delicious garden, where they lived happy.

They had the liberty of eating all of sort of fruits, excepting those of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. They were quite naked, without being ashamed of it; because they had no malice. They suffered no inconveniency, and were not to have died.

Demons

Fall of Angels

Some of the ,angels revolted against God, and he cast them down into Hell and into everlasting fire. These are the demons or the angels of the Devil, who make it their business to tempt men, and cause them to rebel against God. One of these malicious spirits made use of the serpent, and persuaded the woman to eat of the fruit of the tree, which God had forbidden them. She eat of it, and made her husband to eat of it.

Upon, this, God cursed the serpent, and declared that of the woman, there should one be born, who should crush his head; that is to say, the Saviour of the world, who should come one day to destroy the power of the Devil. He drove Adam and Eve out of Paradise; and they remained in a very miserable state.

Concupiscence

They lost the grace of God, and became the slaves of the Devil, and liable to death, and to all the incenveoiencies of the body, and moreover to ignorance and to concupiscence.

Concupiscence is the love of ourselves, which turns us off from loving God our- Creator; and from hence come all the sins which lead to eternal death. As Adam and Eve had not children till after their sin, their children were born subject to the same miseries as themselves, and made them pass to their posterity: insomuch, that all men are born in sin, enemies to God, and designed for Hell.

It is this evil, which we call original sin.

CS Lewis

In the first letter to Mr Warmwood, CS Lewis says that to distract a man of science from his pursuit for God is to present him with what is normal and natural, like a newspaper boy or tram moving through the street. The physical hunger is also a good tool from removing a man from a path of reason that might question that perhaps it is false to believe that God doesn't exist. The best sciences that help a wise man to forget the pursuit of truth are sociology and psychology.
